history
Maktabi for Trading’s history started in Egypt, where the company, through trustworthy traders and resources, became a leader supplier of raw materials. The business also focused on bringing advanced technologies to best support factories and invested on qualified technicians, who proved to be an assertive investment and led to the company’s activities expansion even further. As a consequence, it reached the status of ‘the biggest supplier of some carpet raw materials in the country.
Although the prospective had been good, in 2013, In this new chapter, we continued supporting our customers, now worldwide, but we also took the opportunity to enter a new market. In Egypt, the great demand for raw materials used in garments and clothes was everything the company needed to a brand new start. Applying the same dedication and hard work within the Egyptian market, we proved that our commitment formula could lead to good results elsewhere, and 4 years after Maktabi had also become well-known in the Pharaoh’s land.
About
Maktabi for Trading is a business and yard trading company with decades of experience in the garment field. Its story began in 1988 when the company first started as an agency for textile machinery producers, but later expanded the business to assist companies that work for carpet industry until finally starting to work with raw materials. The company has become an stablished one and a reference in the field to textile machineries manufactures, including in Europe and Asia, thanks to the quality of its yarns, especially valuable cotton, and the commitment on delivering an authentic service.
The company currently is the main yarn supplier for many domestic factories and has expanded its cotton yarn materials from India to also include other varieties of synthetic yard from the East. Simultaneously with raw materials, the machinery business also keeps strong – focused on carpet and finishing machineries. Maktabi’s agencies operate in Egypt, Turkey, Jordan and UAE.
